Solid breakfast, everything you want it to be but better. It tasted more like a home cooked breakfast at Grandma’s house vs a typical diner or greasy spoon. At the Windmill Cafe, I ordered the Hot Roast Beef sandwich. It was a delicious blast from the past. I used to have a similar dish at my aunt and uncle's cafe a half century ago. My meal was so good that I started eating before I thought to take a photo.
This cafe makes a detour into Pella from the highway absolutely worth it! Great food (we had the garden skillet) and service. And they were packed! The square in Pella is lovely. Lots of nice shops and beautiful parkland even if it isn’t tulip festival time yet. What a thriving little town!
We went on a busy weekend. There was a short wait for a table. My Chicken pita was excellent and the fries were piping hot. The service was very good. We took pie to go. The wait for the restroom was long. In the negative column for Pella in general, is the lack of available public restrooms.
This place is always a treat for breakfast! The servers are super friendly, and they have a fantastic selection of options. Plus, they’re open early on weekdays and even open at 8 on Sundays! You absolutely have to check it out!
Fun busy place! Wonderful staff. Breakfast is delicious. Lunch hamburger was good a little overdone dry but a delicious bun and wonderful waitress. All the staff are amazing. Fast efficient and friendly.

Stopped in for lunch on a beautiful April day during tulip time. The restaurant is great, service was fast and friendly, the food tasty and reasonably priced, no wonder there was a crowd
