These Business Terms govern the listing, claiming, and management of business profiles on BizMapDir. By having your business listed on our platform or by claiming/managing a business listing, you agree to these terms.
1. Business Listings
1.1 Listing Eligibility
To be listed on BizMapDir, businesses must:
- Be a legitimate, operating business with a physical location or service area
- Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws
- Not engage in illegal activities or services
- Have appropriate licenses and permits for their business operations
1.2 Automatic Listings
BizMapDir automatically generates listings from public sources, including Google Places API, business registries, and other publicly available information. Businesses are listed at BizMapDir's discretion.
2. Claiming Your Business
2.1 Verification Process
To claim a business listing, you must:
- Be the business owner or an authorized representative
- Provide proof of authorization (business registration, utility bills, etc.)
- Complete the verification process as determined by BizMapDir
- Provide accurate contact information
2.2 Responsibilities of Claimed Businesses
Once you've claimed your business, you are responsible for:
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date business information
- Responding to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Complying with all applicable laws and regulations
- Not engaging in fraudulent or misleading practices
- Keeping your account credentials secure
3. Business Information
3.1 Accuracy of Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information about your business. This includes but is not limited to:
- Business name and contact details
- Physical address and service areas
- Business hours and availability
- Services offered and pricing (if applicable)
- Photos and media content
3.2 Content Ownership
By uploading content (photos, descriptions, etc.) to your business listing, you represent that:
- You own the content or have the right to use it
- The content does not infringe on any third-party rights
- You grant BizMapDir a license to display this content on our platform
4. Prohibited Activities
Businesses listed on BizMapDir must not:
- Create fake or misleading listings
- Post fraudulent reviews or ratings
- Manipulate search rankings through deceptive practices
- Harass or threaten other users or businesses
- Violate intellectual property rights
- Engage in spam or unsolicited marketing
- List businesses engaged in illegal activities
5. Reviews and Ratings
5.1 Customer Reviews
BizMapDir may display customer reviews and ratings for businesses. These reviews are user-generated content and do not represent the views of BizMapDir.
5.2 Responding to Reviews
Verified business owners may respond to reviews. Responses must be:
- Professional and respectful
- Factual and not misleading
- Compliant with our community guidelines
6. Advertising and Premium Features
6.1 Paid Services
BizMapDir may offer paid advertising and premium features. Terms for paid services will be provided separately and must be agreed to before purchase.
6.2 Refund Policy
Refunds for paid services are handled on a case-by-case basis according to our Refund Policy, which will be provided with any paid service agreement.
7. Listing Removal
7.1 Business Owner Requests
Verified business owners may request removal of their listing by contacting us. We will process removal requests in accordance with applicable laws.
7.2 BizMapDir's Right to Remove
We reserve the right to remove any listing that:
- Violates these Business Terms
- Contains false or misleading information
- Represents an illegitimate or illegal business
- Receives numerous valid complaints
- Is inactive or permanently closed
8. Data and Privacy
Business data collected and displayed on BizMapDir is subject to our Privacy Policy. Business owners should review this policy to understand how data is collected, used, and protected.
9. Limitation of Liability
BizMapDir is a platform for connecting businesses with customers. We are not responsible for:
- The quality of goods or services provided by listed businesses
- Disputes between businesses and customers
- Accuracy of third-party provided information
- Loss of business or revenue due to listing changes or removal
- Technical issues affecting listing visibility
10. Indemnification
Business owners agree to indemnify and hold harmless BizMapDir from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your violation of these Business Terms
- Your business operations
- Content you provide to your listing
- Disputes with customers or third parties
11. Changes to Business Terms
We may update these Business Terms from time to time. Continued use of your business listing after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify verified business owners of material changes.
