BizMapDir is a free online local business directory at bizmapdir.com. Visitors use it to find local businesses by category and city and to read reviews, opening hours, photos and contact details. Business owners use it to claim, verify and keep their listing up to date. This policy covers the public website, every business subsite on a *.bizmapdir.com subdomain, our contact and claim forms, and the Google, Pinterest and TikTok integrations described below.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Contact Forms: Name, email address, phone number, and message content when you contact us
- Business Claims: Information provided when claiming or updating a business listing
- Account Information: Username, email, and password if you create an account

- Usage Data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and time spent on pages
- Location Data: Approximate location based on IP address or precise location if you grant permission
- Cookies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity and store certain information

5. Third-Party Services
Our Service integrates with third-party services including:
- Google Places API: For business data and location services
- Analytics Services: To understand how users interact with our Service

- Pinterest API: For publishing business listing pins to Pinterest boards
- TikTok API: For publishing business listing photo posts to TikTok
These services have their own privacy policies governing the use of your information.
6. Pinterest API Data
BizMapDir uses the Pinterest API to automatically publish business listing pins (including business name, photo, description, and a link to the listing) to Pinterest boards organised by business category. By connecting your Pinterest account you grant us OAuth access to your boards and pins.

Data deletion on disconnect: When you disconnect your Pinterest account from BizMapDir, we permanently delete your stored OAuth access token and refresh token from our database. No Pinterest account credentials are retained after disconnection.
No reselling: We do not resell, sublicense, or redistribute Pinterest content or Pinterest-derived data to any third parties. Pinterest data retrieved via the API is used solely to operate the BizMapDir service.
7. TikTok API Data
BizMapDir uses the TikTok Content Posting API to publish photo posts of business listings (including business name, photos, a caption, and a reference to the listing page) to a TikTok account that we own and operate. Connecting a TikTok account grants BizMapDir OAuth access limited to the scopes shown on TikTok's consent screen.
Data we access: basic profile information for the connected account (open ID, username, display name) and the posting capabilities returned by TikTok's creator info endpoint. We do not read, collect, or store your TikTok videos, followers, comments, direct messages, or analytics.
How we store it: OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored in our database and used only to publish posts to the connected account. Access tokens are short-lived and refreshed automatically; we do not share tokens with any third party.
Data deletion on disconnect: When you disconnect your TikTok account from BizMapDir, we revoke the token with TikTok and permanently delete the stored access token, refresh token, and TikTok profile identifiers from our database. No TikTok credentials are retained after disconnection.

8. Google API Services and Google User Data
Some BizMapDir features connect to Google services through Google sign-in (OAuth). We ask only for the Google permissions ("scopes") that a feature needs, and Google shows you exactly which permissions are requested on its consent screen before you grant access. You can decline, and you can withdraw access at any time (see 8.4).
8.1 What we access and why
- Google Business Profile (Business Information and Business Verifications APIs): lets a business owner prove they own a listing, confirm the business details Google holds, and keep their BizMapDir listing in sync with their Google Business Profile. For the locations you choose we read the business name, address, phone number, website, categories, opening hours, and verification status. We never post to, edit, or delete anything in your Google Business Profile unless you explicitly ask us to.
- Google Search Console and Indexing API: used only on our own website property to submit our sitemaps and request indexing of BizMapDir pages. No visitor or customer data is involved.
- Google Drive: if you connect a Google Drive account to our file storage dashboard, we create, upload, list and manage only the files our service stores on your behalf. We do not open or read files we did not create.
8.2 How we use and store Google user data
- Google user data is used solely to provide, maintain and improve the feature you connected it for. It is never used for advertising, never sold, and never used to build profiles of you for any other purpose.
- OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored in our database, are transmitted only over HTTPS, and are used only to call the Google APIs listed above on your behalf.
- We do not share Google user data with third parties, except with service providers who host and operate our platform under confidentiality obligations, when required by law, or as part of a business transfer as described in Section 4. Any such transfer stays subject to this policy.
- Business information that you choose to publish on your BizMapDir listing (for example, your opening hours) is shown publicly on that listing, which is the purpose of the service.
8.3 Limited Use disclosure
BizMapDir's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular, we do not use Google user data to serve advertisements, we do not sell it, we do not use it to develop, improve or train generalised artificial intelligence or machine-learning models, and no human at BizMapDir reads it except with your explicit consent, for security purposes (such as investigating abuse), to comply with applicable law, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymised for internal operations.
8.4 Retention, revoking access and deletion
- You can revoke BizMapDir's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or by disconnecting the integration inside BizMapDir.
- When access is revoked or an integration is disconnected, we delete the stored access and refresh tokens immediately and any Google user data tied to that integration within 30 days, except where we must keep a record to comply with law.
- Data retrieved from Google is kept only for as long as the feature you connected is active. We do not keep copies of Google Drive file contents outside the files we created in your Drive.
- You can also ask us to delete any Google user data we hold about you by emailing privacy@bizmapdir.com; we will confirm the deletion within 30 days.
9. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our Service. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service.
10. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
