10/10 experience here! The salmon here taste very fresh and portion size is very good. The hot smoked salmon is my favourite. The staff are very nice and attentive to our needs too, helping us to portion food for sharing as well. Really the best salmon I’ve ever had in my life. Ordered The Salmon Trilogy and Norwegian Waffle. Trilogy is okay. Sorry that my tastebud is yet up to vividly feel their differences. Lovely place for a meal in the marina area. The salmon as hoped was delicious. We had the salmon trio of smoked, cured and dried salmon and also the salmon salad. While the salmon in the salad was excellent, the dressing was sparse and I would not recommend it. Surprisingly the Skagen was the best we had in Norway.
I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at The Salmon in Oslo. From start to finish, everything was flawless.
I have booked the seat and arrive in time but the staff said they can’t find my reservation even though I already got confirmation email but the staff also handled it very well, very impressed☺️ grilled Salmon is very perfect. I love that is Juicy inside! Will come back to try more dishes for sure!
I really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was really tasty, fresh, comforting and well made. We had the salmon soup and the prawn toast and they were both really delicious. I will definitely be back.
Even though my reservation was at 8:30 PM, they kindly let me in earlier a very nice gesture. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming.
A truly delightful experience. Obviously salmon being a highlight on the menu, heroed in many different ways. But the craft of Sashimi and delicate balance of flavours was exquisite. I particularly enjoyed the subtle sweetness and tenderness of the wolffish. A fish that I had never before tried, nor can I relate it to anything else.
Had a lovely meal here. The grilled salmon was the star—cooked medium-rare with a perfect texture. Not too oily since it’s a fillet cut. I also really enjoyed the mushroom-flavored mashed potatoes. The greens were a little tough, but overall the flavors were great. Recommended
