Excellent public transit for being a small town. My girlfriend and I went on a backpacking trip and stopped in Sitka for a few days. We didn't rent a car and we were easily able to get around Sitka using The Ride and by walking. Helpful drivers, convenient routes and clean buses (shuttles? vans? whatever they are)
Amazing public transportation. Very clean and safe. The drivers are great. Have exact change or get a punchcard/pass at the bookstore. It made my trip so much better. I was really able to explore the entire town without a car thanks to the RIDE!
Rode with Laura all around Sitka including Fortress bears, Harbour Mt Brewing, National Park walk, Russian Bishops house and town. Lovely lady with great local knowledge.
