The Char

Absolutely blown away by the meal I had at this restaurant. My steak ranked right up with the best steaks I have tried from restaurants in big cities. We also tried the escargot and enjoyed every bite of it. This restaurant is a must try if you are in the Beckley area.

Wonderful meal and amazing service in an absolutely beautiful setting! Our go-to after skiing at Winterplace! Only twenty minutes away in Beckley.

The atmosphere, food and experience is always a treat. The servers are very well trained and most of the staff has worked here for many years. When we travel, we rarely (if ever), find a better steak. When vendors, clients, family, etc come in to town everyone wants to eat The Char!
