I have been going to St James gate for many years and it is always very reliable with good food and great service. Late afternoon they went above and beyond accommodating a friend's needs on a busy night. A huge thank you to Jamie and Leah for being awesome. Just a note that the inside is a fun lively atmosphere, …
I had a wonderful Sunday lunch here during a visit to Carleton Place. The Bangers and Mashed that I ordered was delicious, while I also enjoyed a Perth Amber beer. With their relaxing patio, friendly service, and excellent food, I would be happy to come back here, as well as recommend it to others.
We visited here on 25th July during the Bridge Street Festival. The service was quick and the staff were extremely friendly. The food was plentiful and very good quality and flavoursome. I considered the visit to be very good value for the price.
Came here for a quick bite to eat on the way back from Toronto. Place closes at 8 on Sunday we got here at 7 and the kitchen was just about to close. We were able to put an order in and still get food. The food was great, so was the service! A great quick evening dinner!
If you’re passing by Carleton Place and it’s almost lunch, not taking a quick detour here is a big loss. The prices are reasonable, and the food is out of this world. The waiter(s) is(are) very nice and service was very good.
Delicious! Excellent service and huge portion sizes! Reasonably priced and very tasty. Only a 15 minute wait for food. Would come again!
The Lisbon Dip is spectacular. So delicious I can't even explain, you just need to try it for yourself. My friend had the steak sandwich which she said was also fantastic. Looking forward to returning with my sandwich-loving friends. Also, I love the atmosphere and decor - splendid!
Nice Irish pub in a touristy town. Good pub fare. Decent selection of beers.
Food was very delicious - the pub fries were perfectly cooked, yummy gravy, and fish was very tasty.
