Ray Romano Contracting

We had a flood in our co-op and were in dire straights. Floor torn up in the kitchen, appliances relocated taking up the entire living space. With a smile and straightforwardness you don't always expect, Ray literally brought my family's living condition back from disaster. Our place is more beautiful than it was. We can't thank Ray enough.

Ray Romano turned my gutted upper west side apartment into my personal palace. A genuinely lovely and caring person, Ray supported me every step of the way, helping make the best decisions for my budget and my space. He was dedicated, professional, and worked with my board to execute on time under exacting standards.

Ray is more than the larger-than-life personality that is fun to work with. His work and attention to detail are unparalleled. He actually cares deeply about every home he works on from a small kitchen renovation (my last place) to a larger scale semi-gut renovation (my current place.) I strongly recommend working with him, just don't take him from me …

Ray completed a renovation of our 3br apartment which included replacing all the wood floors, fully renovating our kitchen/bathrooms, reconfiguring several spaces including closets/foyer/hallways, and replacing plumbing/electric throughout our apartment. He checked all the boxes as far as what a homeowner hopes for in a contractor as far as professionalism and work quality. The highlight of working with him, however, …

We could not be happier with our kitchen remodel by Ray Romano Contracting completed a few months ago! Everything was on time and exactly what we wanted. From the planning phase through to the project completion, the remodel went exactly as we expected. Quality of the craftsmanship and materials is exceptional. Crew members were courteous and talented renovation professionals. Attention …

Just the best. I had Ray do two renovations for me over the 20 years I lived in my 2 bedroom pre-war coop. Nothing is more charming than Prewar, but nothing has more issues with old walls, old floors, old pipes on and on. Ray made my apartment not only gorgeous, but had amazing ideas for making it highly functional. …

Ray has an incredible eye for detail as well as an eye towards the big picture. He walked into my space and immediately had a creative solution....something we hadn’t considered!! Equally top notch is the quality of his work; be it tile or floor installation, cabinetry and all accompanying work. He worked cleanly and finished within the agreed upon time …

Ray renovated my new home while I was away for 8 weeks. My wife and two kids were doing the move on their own and timing was down to the wire due to the Building Department being very slow in approving major architectural structural plans. Ray got the renovation done in time for my wife and kids to move in …

Ray Romano is an incredibly talented contractor. He partnered with us from inception to punch list and made sure our needs were met the entire way through. He is extremely talented when it comes to space and design and can help solve many architectural issues too. We had a huge challenge that we were trying to figure out and he …

Ray did a complete gut renovation of our 2br apartment, based on a complex and detailed design. Virtually everything was replaced - walls, floors, ceilings, kitchen, bathrooms, electrical service, plumbing, and built in cabinets. Ray turned my vision for the place into reality - in the midst of the pandemic, no less. Work was interrupted in March with much left …
