Really loved it. True to its name - it's in the basement. Huge German and german-style beer selection, on draft and bottles. The potato pancakes were incredible. The pretzel awesome and buttery. Our schnitzel was good, sauerkraut and broccoli really nice; potato salad was a touch too sweet.

I found this place by accident while spending a night near the BWI airport. Had the Balkan Schnitzel (pork) which was great! The spätzle were so-so, maybe I should have skipped the cheese on them. It was our first time at this restaurant. The food is really good. We had the party platter and everything tasted amazing. I grew up eating German food and every bite took me back to my childhood. The staff is super nice and attentive. Definitely a must go place for those who enjoy German food.
