Went to Oscar's for the 4.99 breakfast, price has gone up quite a bit! Service was perfect, a little bit of a wait. Good food! Met the owner and he was really nice, has an extensive collection of famous guitars that would rival ANY museum for sure!
The food is delicious. The staff were friendly. Food: smothered fried children, potato salad, and mash potatoes. Staff: acted quickly. Placed In order efficiently. The place itself is cute, 60s/70s vibe dinner which I 100% adore. Anytime I’m in Roanoke Rapids (I am probably swinging by and dining in). 💕😍
We came near closing and they still let us sit and enjoy our meal. The best food I have had since I’ve been in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.
Good fresh cooked food. Service was awesome. BBQ was a little dry, but they offered sauce, so it wouldn't be too vinegary. Atmosphere: Good ol time feel. Over all very good!!
Oh yum!! Delicious southern food made be true southerners-you can’t beat it. Loved the brown gravy. I can never make gravy like that. There’s a bunch of desserts I would love to try next time. Saw this on google search on our way to Myrtle Beach and it looked really unique. Love the 50’s vibe with the country guitars all …
Very nice restaurant and it was fun looking at all the guitars that we’d hanging up and signed by famous singers/bands. The food was hot and homemade, service and the people were very nice and friendly. I would definitely put this on your list if you’re in the area. Will be going back

Loved this place. Old time diner. Service was great food was great atmosphere was great. I had the fried pork chops. They were large and plenty I had turnip greens, cabbage, and sweet corn pudding. My wife had southern fried chicken, yams, Black eyed peas.I had turnip greens. And then banana pudding would highly recommend this place.
Looking at it from the outside, it's just a hole in the wall that you will drive past without stopping - stop here for a bite to eat, not the chain store run of the mill places littered throughout. The food is quick and tasty, and the service is prompt. Another thing to point out? Signed guitars on the walls. …
The Wednesday lunch special was "chicken and pastry" Debra talked me into getting it, it was delicious, a bowl full of chicken and pastry (forgot to take a picture) just the way I love it, homemade thin pastry and lots of chicken in almost every spoon full. And for one of my sides was a beautiful side salad with all …
