Cute cafe with delicious pastel de natas. These were just as good if not better than the ones I tried in Porto on a trip last year. Friendly service and places to sit. A little exxy at $6 each. But worth a try for anyone craving one. Tried the custard tart (original). Crispy light pastry with a gooey custard interior. …

3 words…pistachio Portuguese tart! These lil treats were still hot out of the over, the pastry is so perfect and best part they’re not sickly sweet like some places. Visiting again asap!

Ever since I’ve been to Belém in Portugal, I’m on a pastéis de nata hunt back in Australia. So far tried in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and this one in the Southbank is the best. Crispy and flaky pastry that’s its own entirety. The custard is not overly sweetened, which is what I like about, similar to the Belem tarts and …

Delicious Pastel de Nata in South Brisbane near Fish Lane. At $11.50 for one custard tart and an iced coffee I thought it was a little steep but the tarts are actually quite large and filling - definitely the largest I’ve ever had and I’ve recently returned from Portugal where I tried many. They also threw in a mini tart …

I always get great service and a fast, brilliant coffee here. All the food I've tried from here has been good but the Portuguese custard tarts are the best I've ever had. Not much seating but most people get takeaway so it's not a problem. South Brisbane's best kept secret, in my opinion

Worth coming for the tarts alone! Insanely flaky, crispy pastry that shatters into 1,000,000 pieces as you bite into them. We had the goats cheese+honey, chicken, and traditional. All delicious fillings, served still warm. Also, a bit of a bargain at $22 for 4, which was enough for a light brekky for two. Great coffee too.

We stayed in the building next door for a month and visited this café several times with my husband and child. The egg tarts were amazing — my kid loved them! The banana bread and coffee were also great. I especially loved the prosciutto mozzarella toastie — so delicious! I wish I could have had it more than once. It’s …

This is a no-frills café located within the residential building. John is hospitable and friendly; he recommended me the traditional custard tart with cinnamon sprinkles, and it is a champion. I was told they sold their tart to one of the Melbourne’s tea room if I do crave for it in Vic.

Bacon and egg roll with mozzarella cheese, rocket and special sauce which definitely had mustard. So much flavour and a generous size to keep you going all day. Top it off with a latte and it’s a great meal. Staff are friendly, it is mostly take away service but there are a couple of small tables for two on footpath. …
