This is the best Tonkatsu place I’ve ever been to in the US! The shrimp were huge and incredibly fresh. The rice was beautifully translucent with just the right amount of stickiness, and the cabbage salad that comes with the katsu was cool and perfectly crisp.

Tried the traditional Donburi– flavorful, generous portions that far outsize most chain options. Every bite felt like home‑cooked, hand‑selected meat rather than a mass‑produced all‑you‑can‑eat meal. The staff’s mom‑and‑pop attention and dedication create a cozy, authentic atmosphere in this metropolitan neighborhood. Highly recommend Kazone for anyone craving genuine Korean cuisine and generous portions.

This place was such a treat! I came with a party of four on a Thursday and we were quickly seated. The menu is concise and well curated with a good of katsu, rice dishes, and noodle dishes. I really enjoyed all of the apps we got included the potatoed shrimp and the shrimp tempura as well as the croquettes.

Current fave spot for katsu in nova! A pretty intimate space with limited seating, but they have a pretty quick turnaround for orders. They have a pretty large menu with some classic Japanese favorites and comfort foods. My go-to is the Rosu Katsu, thei specialty!
