Stopped at Carl’s in hopes they had Angle Food cake, they had one in the back freezer. Score! We happened to stop when the Firefighters were holding a Burger & Brat fundraiser (chips and a soda meal $10) Buns were from Carl’s and now I regret not getting a package of buns. Great selection of both baked and fried sweets. Fast friendly service and very reasonable prices. I even beet root powder for my home smoothies!

Truly some of the best donuts and pastries I've ever had! The people are always warm and welcoming. Without a doubt, it is a must-stop if you're driving through town or even driving out of your way just to get a donut! They never disappoint!
We met friends halfway and we had a delightful time at Carls. There was wholesome conversation with other customers. We dined outside at the one of the sidewalk tables. It was worth the 80 minute drive.
I am a traveler and in town and tried this place out- best donuts I’ve ever had😍 tried their chicken pot pie too. It was so good!
Ohhhh my goodness... I was just passing through early morning and looked up "bakery" on Google Maps, and this was a suggestion... it will FOREVER be a destination... I got a Latte and a fresh, warm Blueberry Fritter... these are next level DELISHHHH.... And they make fresh bread, etc... love LOVE their bakery.
