Bar Mellow

Bar Mellow, an unexpected delight in my home town. The space has a soft, warm atmosphere, not the sort to put you to sleep but it relaxes you, making conversation flow easily. Excellent easy listening jazz/ funk. Rosie and Lucy were our hosts. They both worked non stop, yet never looked bothered. They were both incredibly friendly, professional and efficient. …

We finally made it out to this venue, and wish we'd been sooner! Stunning and original decor, great service, comfy booths and delicious cocktails really made our night. We're definitely planning to come back, and settle in for an evening to try the food as well.

Shoutout to the bar tender Poppy, she was super lovely, knowledgable and helped us decide on what cocktails we should order. Highly recommend trying one of Poppy’s cocktails, very skilful and created what we were after 🍹🌟

What a hidden gem. Looking at the menu, I can't wait to actually spend some time here on a return to Newcastle. What stood out to me most was the immediate and friendly greeting as you walk through the door. Personally seated, and provided with cold water and delicious Sicilian olives. We said we were short on time and the …

The unexpected highlight of our trip to New Castle! Beautiful bar with very calm and chill atmosphere to come and grab one of their amazing worthwhile life changing cocktails with your friends. The whole menu was perfect. Almost wanted to try every cocktail on the menu, unfortunately stopped myself at 3 different ones. But definitely reason to go back and …

If I could give 6 stars, I would! This place is so amazing and the staff are so lovely. Definitely my favourite bar in Newcastle and there are plenty of great ones around! The only thing better than the cocktails are the staff!

Stunning cocktail bar in gorgeous former bank building. Stopped by on a quiet Wednesday night for a nightcap. Delicious blend of brandy, salted caramel and some acidity. Loved it, definitely come back.

We came for the cocktails + ceramics class and it was fantastic! Such good value, it included a welcome drink and 2 pre-selected cocktails, which honestly took the guesswork out and they were so delicious! The vibe was relaxed with a really lovely interior. Only thing I’d say is the tables could be a bit sturdier. We almost knocked ours …

Such a warm and friendly crew here, with nothing being too much trouble. Bar Mellow is the perfect place to enjoy a cheeky cocktail in the main bar, there's a lovely ambience of beautiful sophistication, perfect for a date night! The private room is a gorgeous space to host small gatherings or an intimate event. We held a private event …

Went to Bar Mellow with a friend on Thursday night, the atmosphere was lovely. It was quiet for a Thursday, but we didn’t mind at all. The two ladies behind the bar were so friendly and kind. We ordered two beers and three small dishes and omg, the cheese and cured meat platter was absolutely delicious! Price-wise it was also …
